Who is eligible to fish the Georgia Bass Trail?
Teams must consist of at least one adult 19 or older.

Who is NOT eligible to fish the Georgia Bass Trail?
Pros who fished the Bassmaster Elite Series or FLW Tour as a boater in the current season or are registered to do so.  People who have been convicted of cheating in a bass tournament are not eligible to participate.

When can teams register? 
Registration will open AUGUST 15th and Close December 1st, 2020.

When is the latest I can register an alternate for my team?
You do not have to register an alternate until the close of registration on December 1, 2020.

How do I register my team to participate in the Georgia Bass Trail?
Teams can register and pay the $50.00 registration fee (per team per division) on the website: georgiabasstrail.org

What are the dates for the 2021 Season?
This year there is a North and South Division of the trail. We invite you to fish whichever trail is closest to your geographical location, or fish both! Please see the schedule below:

How do I register for a tournament?
Once you have registered your team and received your confirmation email with team number you are ready to register and pay for any tournament.  Registration for each tournament will close at 12:00 a.m (midnight) the Monday PRIOR to the tournament.  All registrations must be paid online through the website georgiabasstrail.org.  Once your entry fee is paid you will receive a confirmation email to confirm your registration.

How do I guarantee my eligibility to participate in the Georgia Bass Trail?
The first 125 teams to register will be eligible to enter any of the Georgia Bass Trail tournaments.  Your registration is NOT guaranteed until you receive your confirmation email.

How many tournaments can my alternate fish?
Each team registered alternate can ONLY fish two regular season events.  In the event your alternate cannot make the event you will be permitted to fish alone, however the GBT reserves the right to place an alternate in your boat and/or subject you to a polygraph.

How are the point standings determined?
The winner of each event will receive 125 points, second place 124 points, etc.

What are permitted fishing locations?
Contestants may fish anywhere on tournament waters accessible by boat, except areas designated as “off limits” or “no fishing” by the state or federal officials, or within 50 yards of a competitors’ boat who is fishing. Locking from one area of tournament waters to another body of water is not allowed at any time during the tournament.

Can I fish solo? 
Yes, but the GBT trail reserves the right to polygraph all participants.

What is the entry fee for each tournament?
The entry fee for each event is $230.00 (for teams that paid the $520 entry fee, $100 of the $230 was already paid upfront as part of the season deposit, and $130 Is due before each event).

How do I become eligible to fish in the championship?
For a team to be eligible to qualify for the classic they must fish all 5 tournaments.  Any team that fishes all five events will be eligible to fish in the Classic.

What is the payout for each event?
The payout for each tournament will be determined by how many teams register for each event. We will payout 1 in 10 spots per tournament.  $150.00 of each registration fee will go towards the tournament pot.  $50.00 of each entry fee will go towards the championship pot. $25.00 of each entry fee will go towards tournament trail expenses.
